Welcome to Pack 306's site. We are a Cub Scout Pack out of Arlington MA. All kids between Kindergarten to Fifth Grade in Arlington and neighboring communities are allowed to join. While it is best to join at the beginning of the school year, you can join at any time during the year.
Our Pack does exciting outings throughout the year like Snow Tubing, Family Camping and Battleship Cove Overnights.
Cub Scouts runs in parallel with the school year. Each grade (den) will meet twice a month: once as a Pack (all grades/dens) and once as a den. Meeting times can vary between Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday depending on the activity. Indoor meetings are held at First Baptist Church in Arlington. At Pack Meetings we do exciting activities like the Pine Wood Derby, nature hikes, Pumpkin Carving, Indoor Camp Fires, and practice Scout skills like first aid and tying knots.
And we do philanthropic activities like Toys for Tots and Cradles to Crayons.
We also meet one other night per month as a smaller group - your "Den" - which is separated by school grade: Lions are Kindergarten; Tigers are First Graders; Wolves are Second Graders; Bears are Third Graders. Fourth and Fifth Graders are Webelos. Each Den meets separately once a month to work on projects towards advancement. There are optional weekend activities meetings too.
Cub Scouts is not a "drop-off" activity - parents are required to attend meeting events and activities with their Scout. But siblings of any age and gender are welcome to join in too.
